Impermenance is Swift
This whole project is a love affair of sorts. You're thinking, perhaps, who the hell is this guy, and why should anyone care about him, his silly little web page and his so-called art? I share that sentiment. I have the same questions.

That being said, I'm a 50 year old zen buddhist, divorced father, lawyer, recovering alcoholic, poet, and photographer in Iowa City, Iowa. I can be reached here.

Although I played around with this artistic sense off and on in years past, it has only been since I got sober that any of this became a a priority. Prior to that, I lived and died through the ego-piallative of career, marriage, motorcycles, love, money, image, and rum.

I'm still addicted to everything, but - hopefully - the worst of it stays at least slightly beyond arm's reach. In the meantime, these words and images probably won't kill me, and in some small way, might even help turn the dharma wheel that otherwise often seems to simply stick itself like a burned out transmission in an old Ford.

If you are an addict or alcoholic or otherwise compulsively treat your life like a red headed stepchild, or if you are interested in buddhism, I'd love to hear from you. The same is true if you like any of my art.
